What WCAGpatch Is

WCAGpatch is a self-hosted WordPress plugin. It runs entirely on your own server, inside your WordPress installation. WCAGpatch does not operate a cloud service, does not maintain user accounts, and does not store any of your data on our servers.

Data the Plugin Collects

WCAGpatch collects no data from your website visitors. The plugin operates exclusively within the WordPress admin dashboard. Scan results, compliance certificates, and remediation logs are stored in your WordPress database on your server. No data is transmitted to WCAGpatch or any third party by the plugin itself.

Your OpenAI API Key

WCAGpatch uses the OpenAI API for AI-powered remediation features such as generating alt text for images. You provide your own OpenAI API key, which is stored exclusively in your WordPress database (the wp_options table). Your API key is never transmitted to WCAGpatch. API calls go directly from your server to OpenAI's servers. You control your API key, your usage, and your costs. WCAGpatch has no access to your OpenAI account or API key at any time.

This marketing website is a static site hosted on Vercel. We do not currently use cookies or tracking scripts. If we add analytics in the future (such as Google Analytics or a privacy-respecting alternative), we will update this policy. No personal information is collected through this website unless you voluntarily contact us via email.

No User Accounts

WCAGpatch does not require you to create an account. There is no registration, no login, and no cloud dashboard. Your license key is delivered at purchase and entered into your WordPress admin. That is the only interaction between your site and our systems.

No Cloud Storage

All scan data, compliance certificates, violation logs, and remediation records remain on your server. WCAGpatch does not upload, sync, or back up any of your data to external servers.

GDPR and International Users

This website is hosted in the United States. Because WCAGpatch is a self-hosted plugin that does not transmit data to us, no personal data from EU users is transferred to WCAGpatch. If you email us, your email will be stored on US-based email servers. We process contact emails solely to respond to your inquiry.
